*sigh* Truthfully I didn't even bother to listen to it after I read the below brief synopsis of the song.
Usher teamed up with the super sexy, Nicki Menaj, for a track that openly discusses threesomes, bisexual girls and tittay signing called Little Freak. ~MissJiaNow.. no issue with lesbians, bisexuals, or threesomes. My issue is that this young lady, Ms. Nicki has a HUGE fan base! Young ladies and men from ages 7(probably 5) and up are listening to her, trying to emulate her, and calling themselves Barbies and Ken. And with such a large fan base I think entertainers in general, but more specifically FEMALE EMCEES need to be more mindful of the things they are releasing.
Which is why I cannot stand Female rappers! I feel like, yes there are video hoochies, and singers, and actresses. However, Video Hoochies are silent, and when that video comes on, those girls are nameless until you see them on the cover of King Magazine or whatever... yes, young ladies want to look like them, but they don't want to BE like them. Singers, same thing except.. and they tend to be a lil on the "classier" side when it comes to the lyrics and clothing. And actresses... well, it's just a role, off screen they're outta character.
But these damn Femcees! Oh LAWD! I mean.. come on! Every song they on, talking about deep throating pepsi bottles, getting ate out on they period, how u can pay for they sex! I mean shit, we all do it, nothing wrong with sexing, but damn if that's the only creativity your working with, i need you to get a better occupation. You literally have girls looking up to you, hanging on to your every word not knowing that even your ass don't believe your own damn lies! And not to mention.. these Femcees are ignorant. Word play is mediocre, for goodness sakes they don't even write their own rhymes! ugh
And I know ppl will fire off "but they have to be hypersexual if they wanna sell records" Hmm newsflash ding dong, Eve, Queen Latifah, Salt and Peppa, MC Lyte.. they sold records! Without telling ppl that they allow trains to be ran on them..They made sure their rhymes were on point and not so explicit so that FUTURE FEMCEES didn't have to sell their dignity to get radio play...
and I swear these bitches bout to blow me.
i can agree to what you are saying but i can also disagree too. I understand where u are coming from with being more mindful of the things they are saying but singers like Rihanna and Beyonce discuss sexy topic just not as blunt. PPl let there children run around signing rude boy and video phone like its no thing and think its just the cutest shii ever. and just female emcee the males ones need to pause and think about some of the things they express on wax...they talk about bitches, hoes, sexing this chick here and there and she did this and that..what message does that send to the youth of today too.
ReplyDeletethese are just one of those who is to blame type situation...the rappers for talking about what they do or the parents for them allowing the children to listen to it
